In the fall of 2015, Veo co-founder Keld was late for his son’s football game. When he finally arrived at the pitch, his son had already scored a goal. Keld was disappointed not to see the great moment, so he began wondering, ‘why aren’t all football matches recorded?’ Pro clubs and elite-level academies record their matches. But with video technology evolving dramatically with high-end cameras in smartphones and ubiquitous action cameras, why wasn’t it possible to simply, affordably, and easily record all games – from Champions League to Sunday League? That afternoon, the idea of Veo was born.
Since then Veo has grown to become one of the fastest growing start-ups in Denmark. Veo is now present in 80 countries worldwide. Members of the Veo community have recorded more than half a million games. On all levels. From Champions League clubs’ academies, semi-professional senior teams, and to grassroots clubs all over the world.
In May 2022 Veo was set to launch the world’s first portable AI camera (Veo Cam 2) to automatically live stream sporting events. Signifly was asked to design and develop a new veo.co to be fit for the company that Veo had become and to support the launch of Veo Cam 2.
1. DIGITAL VISUAL IDENTITY

The visual expression of the new website very much embodies everything about Veo. It’s simple, minimalistic and gets out of the way in favor of the content. With the simple typographic visuals and clean layouts it avoids the typical sports clichés, and helps position Veo as part hardware, part software and part sports community.
2. PRODUCT PRESENTATION

The new website was designed to present the new Veo Cam 2 in the best way possible through a mixture of 3d renders, photography, interactive animation, immersive video-content and fresh copy.
Long engaging landingpages for the 3 major features: Record, Stream and Analysis explores, highlights and elevates every little detail of the camera and software, while providing a smooth user experience across the site.
3. CONTENT HUB

On the surface the new veo.co gives a great and quick overview of the product and company, but as you browse the site you will learn that it is truly a deep and extensive hub for loads of content and information. Working with the Veo team creating an intuitive navigation and logical information architecture was essential to create a home for Veo that is prepped for the future and the ever expanding community. At launch the website had +50 customized content blocks making it easy for the Veo web team to create new pages and sections as the site evolves.
4. TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION

The complete site was built in React and hooked up to a headless DATO CMS and Shopify Storefront commerce set-up. They site is available in 9 different languages and integrated with the rest of Veo's digital ecosystem.
5. BRANDED COMMERCE

The Veo website is a prime example of a branded commerce website where Brand Communication, Product Presentation and an intuitive Shopping Experience blends together seamlessly. From the state-of-the art interactive presentation of the new camera, to the extensive and varied amount of branded content and all the way through to the simple, optmized and user friendly checkout flow, the new website helps Veo come across as a world-class product that every coach and player wants to own.
Veo now has a new online home that is fit for a modern tech and sports company. A new website and digital platform that is built to scale and support the future growth journey.
Upon launch the new veo.co got a great reception and it has helped position Veo as the top product in the industry and has already helped support the fast-growing company that have tripled its customer base in just one year.
After the launch of the website, Veo secured a series C funding of 550 Mio DKK to further its expansion across the globe and support its mission help clubs of all levels record their matches and training sessions.
